BWA Enhanced Water Tanker COVID-19 Safety Protocols

The Barbados Water Authority would like to share its enhanced water tanker COVID-19 safety protocols with our customers. When collecting water from BWA tankers, customers must wear face masks and ensure that they have sanitized hands and containers place their containers under the pipe and step back a minimum of 6 feet.
Under no circumstances are customers to touch any of the water tanker surfaces.
The tanker assistant will fill the containers and then allow the customers to step forward and retrieve them.
When filling community tanks water tanker operators who will be outfitted with face masks and Shields will be sanitizing the individual tanks and the immediate area around them with a disinfecting solution.
During this process, the public will again be required to step back a minimum of 6 feet.
When the tanker crews are replenishing personal water tanks they will be wearing full protective gear Tyvek suits and will be sanitizing the tanks and the surrounding area with a disinfecting bleach solution.
Customers are reminded that in all instances, the wearing of face masks and the practice of social distancing is mandatory.
Failure to adhere to these stipulations will mean the non-delivery of the service. The Barbados Water Authority thanks you for your cooperation. (ENDS)
