The Barbados Water Authority (BWA), as part of the national consultation process, invites members of the public to review and submit comments to the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESIA/ESMP) document for the proposed Workers’ Campsite, which will support the construction of the upgrade of the South Coast Sewage Treatment Plant (SCSTP) and South Coast Water Reclamation and Reuse Facilities (SCWRRF), which constitute Component 1 of the South Coast Water Reclamation Project (SCWRP).
The South Coast Water Reclamation Project (SCWRP; Project Number BA-L1063) is a major infrastructure operation funded in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to improve wastewater infrastructure, boost climate resilience, and manage water reclamation on the South Coast of Barbados.
