Ionics Freshwater Ltd. has informed the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) that the problem at the Desalination Plant has been resolved. Pumping from that facility resumed on Friday evening December 23rd.
The BWA therefore wishes to update residents of all St. James, St. Thomas and St. Peter areas impacted by the issue, that while the Plant is now pumping at full capacity, it may take some time for water pressure in all of the affected districts to return to normal.
The Authority will continue to assist residents via tanker as a temporary measure.
