This afternoon Sunday, March 30th 2025, Ionics Freshwater Limited has updated the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) that operations have resumed at the Desalination Plant on the Mighty Grynner Highway.
While the facility is functioning at maximum capacity, residents in the below areas may continue to be impacted until the water systems supplying their districts are replenished.

St. Michael
Waterford, Codrington, Spooner’s Hill, Bush Hall, Tudor Bridge, Grazettes, Station Hill, Fairfield Cross Road, Cave Hill, Bibby’s Lane, Jackson Terrace, Jackson, Warrens Terrace, Warrens, Warrens Park South and surrounding areas.
St Peter
Six Men’s Village, Retreat, Heywoods, Ashton Hall, Douglas Development, Golden Mile, Church Street Gardens, Round the Town, Farm Tenantry, Speightstown, Battaleys, Road View, Gibbs and surrounding districts.
St. James

Customers are reminded that the Authority will continue to assist residents of any affected districts via tanker as a temporary measure.
