BWA Continues Work to Resolve Water Issues Affecting Some Christ Church Districts
This afternoon, Tuesday, May 12th, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) continues work to resolve the water issues affecting residents and businesses in some parts of Christ Church.
In order to conduct this phase of the work, the Authority has had to stop pumping from one of its stations in St. George temporarily.
This temporary stoppage may affect residents of
St. Michael
Haggatt Hall, Belle Gully, Belle Tenantry, Licorish Village, My Lord’s Hill, Flint Hall, Welches, Martinique Road, Government Hill, Pine Plantation, Pine Gardens, Two Mile Hill, Upper Collymore Rock, Brittons Hill and surrounding districts.
St. George
Dash Valley, Monroe Village, Salters, Neils, First Step, Lower Brighton, Waverley Cot, Buttals Tenantry, Good Intent, East Lynne, Manning’s Village, Walkers Valley, Constant, South District and surrounding areas.
St. Philip
Windsor Tenantry, Campaign Castle, Brereton, Hannays Valley and surrounding districts.
Christ Church
Lower Grays, Dayrell’s Hill, Boarded Hall, Frere Pilgrim, Edey Village, Watts Village, St. David’s, Cox Road, Bannantyne and surrounding areas.
The Authority will make every effort to assist residents via its water tanker fleet as a temporary measure while the work is underway. Once pumping restarts, the water supply to the above areas is expected to return to normal gradually.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises sincerely for this service disruption to its valued customers as it works to resolve the longstanding issues affecting residents of some Christ Church districts. (ENDS)
