Today, Sunday, July 20th, 2025, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to update residents and businesses along the West Coast between the Lazaretto in St. Michael and Port St. Charles in St. Peter that emergency repairs on a large-diameter main in the vicinity of Sandy Lane are still ongoing.
As a result, customers in parts of St. James and St. Peter may experience low water pressure or outages. The affected areas may include:
St. James:
Mount Standfast, Porters, Holetown, Trents, Jamestown Park, Sunset Crest, Paynes Bay, Derricks, Appleby, Fitts Village, Prospect, Lower Carlton, Weston, The Garden, and surrounding areas.
St. Peter:
Six Men’s Village, Retreat, Heywoods, Ashton Hall, Douglas Development, Golden Mile, Church Street Gardens, Round the Town, Farm Tenantry, Speightstown, Battaleys, Road View, Gibbs, and surrounding areas.
Water tankers will continue to assist customers in the affected districts, and updates will be provided on the progress of the work.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises for the inconvenience this emergency repair at Sandy Lane, St. James may cause.
