Repair of the large-diameter main was completed early this afternoon but after the water was turned back on, another leak appeared on the main.
While the teams on site are committed to work through the night to effect and complete the repairs, the Authority’s water tanker crews are making every effort to assist residents in the affected districts also into the night.
Customers are asked to bear with the BWA as there may be delays due to heavy demand.
Persons who still have a pipe-borne supply are advised to store some water to assist as well.
The BWA apologises for the inconvenience and will continue to provide updates on the progress of the repairs. (ENDS)
