Today, Friday, November 21st the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to update residents and businesses in parts of St. Michael and Christ Church that work is still ongoing to repair a large diameter main in Villa Road, Brittons Hill, St. Michael.

Residents of districts stretching from the intersection of Bay Street & Jemmott’s Lane along Highway 7 to Carter’s Gap in Christ Church including Bayland, the Garrison, the Graydon Sealy School, Navy Gardens, St. Matthias, Marine Gardens, Eversley Road, Beales Gap, Reece Road, Hastings, Worthing, Rendezvous, Top Rock, Maxwell, Hythe Gardens, Oistins and the immediate surrounding areas may continue to be impacted by a water outage or low pressure for a little while longer.

Water tankers will continue to assist. However, please note that there may be delays due to heavy demand on the tanker fleet.

Motorists are advised to avoid using Villa Road and seek alternative routes as the work on this large-sized main has rendered the road impassable.

The Barbados Water Authority apologises for the inconvenience this emergency repair at Villa Road, Brittons Hill, St. Michael may cause and thanks customers for their patience.    (ENDS)
