The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to update residents of some St Michael and Christ Church districts today, Saturday, November 18th that emergency repairs are still ongoing at the Pumping Station which supplies them with water.

The Authority has adjusted its network to reduce the number of affected areas, including Bridgetown.  However, some customers may continue to experience low water pressure or water outages while work is ongoing.

The affected areas may include St. Michael and Christ Church districts stretching from Codrington junction in St. Michael to Carter’s Gap in Christ Church and Collymore Rock in St. Michael, Vauxhall in Christ Church and the Fort George and Sheraton areas.

Water tankers will continue to assist customers in the affected areas as a temporary measure. However, there may be delays due to the heavy demand.

The Barbados Water Authority apologises for the inconvenience this emergency work which continues today, Saturday, November 18th may cause.    (ENDS)
