Ionics Freshwater Ltd. has advised the Barbados Water Authority that heavy smoke from a nearby fire has today Wednesday, November 16th affected operations at the Desalination Plant forcing the stoppage of production from that facility.

As a result, persons in the following areas may experience low water pressure or a water outage during the night tonight and into tomorrow Thursday, November 17th.
