• The Government of Barbados (GOB), through its execution agency, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA), has embarked on the Water Conservation program with the goal of addressing increased resilience of the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) water supply system and providing greater sustainability to meet its customer needs while maintaining the required services standards delivery as required. This is to be achieved partly by introducing water-saving devices, which will consist of installing devices in 1,000 vulnerable households, at governmental agencies, and BWA properties.
  • The project scope includes installing water-saving devices to replace existing ones in vulnerable homes and facilities, making good any surrounding infrastructure, and restoring the installation site to the same or acceptable condition.
  • As a result, the BWA now invites experienced contractors to submit proposals to participate in the project procurement process.
  • Interested bidders can obtain the documents containing all qualification and eligibility criteria from the Government of Barbados’ e-procurement portal at https://gov-bb.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities.
  • Proponents must first register on the portal to submit their proposals. Detailed instructions for registration are available at: https://procure.gov.bb/home
  • A bid/proposal shall be considered only if it complies with the conditions set out in the bid package.
  • The BWA does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid/proposal and reserves the right to withdraw this tender, reject any and all proposals, and accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the GOB.
