The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to advise that its Belle Pumping Station in St. Michael will be taken offline on Saturday, April 12th, between 1:00 and 6:00 pm. This is to facilitate an emergency inspection of the well at that location.
The affected areas may include St. Michael and Christ Church districts stretching from Codrington junction in St. Michael to Carter’s Gap in Christ Church including all of Bridgetown and Collymore Rock in St. Michael, Vauxhall in Christ Church and the Fort George and Sheraton areas.
Persons are not expected to be affected right away but are advised to store some water to assist during this period.
Water tankers will also be dispatched to assist residents and businesses in the affected districts as a temporary measure.
