Ionics Freshwater Ltd. has advised the Barbados Water Authority of a problem at the Desalination Plant which is affecting production from that facility. The issue is being addressed; however, full resolution is not expected for a few days.
The BWA therefore wishes today Thursday, December 22nd to alert residents of a number of areas in St. James, St. Thomas and St. Peter that they may experience low water pressure or a water outage until the problem is resolved.

Customers in the above-mentioned areas who still have a pipe-borne supply are advised to store some water to assist. The Authority will make every effort to help residents in these districts via tanker while the problem persists.
