Ionics Freshwater Limited has advised the Barbados Water Authority that emergency electrical maintenance will be conducted at the Desalination Plant on the Mighty Grynner Highway on Monday, August 11th between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Persons in the following areas may experience low water pressure or a water outage during this period:
In St. Peter
Gibbs, Mullins, Road View, Battaleys, Farm Road, Heywoods Park, Speightstown, Road View and surrounding districts.
In St. James
Appleby, Derricks, Fitts Village, Holetown, Jamestown Park, Mount Standfast, Lower Mount Standfast, Paynes Bay, Porters, Prospect, Sunset Crest, Trents, Sandy Lane, Storehouse Gap, The Garden, Weston, Lower Crick Hill, Lower Carlton, Prior Park, Warrens, Warrens Terrace, Warrens Park South, Clermont, Clearview Heights, Husbands, Meadowvale Heights, Crystal Heights, Hoyte’s Village, Seaview, Halcyon Heights, Sunset Ridge, Lancaster, Orange Hill, Apes Hill, Greenwich and surrounding areas.
In St. Thomas
Arch Hall, Bibby’s Lane, Cane Garden, Jackson, Jackson Terrace, Edgehill, Melrose, Arthur Seat, Welches Heights, Redman’s Village, Bagatelle Park, Bagatelle Gardens and surrounding districts.
Customers are advised to store some water to assist but the Authority will make every effort to help residents in these districts via tanker while the work is ongoing.
