The Barbados Water Authority acknowledges today Tuesday, May 24th that some of its customers in St. Joseph continue to experience instances of water outages and low pressure; particularly residents at higher elevations in the parish.

This situation has resulted from the Authority’s inability to maintain normal reservoir levels at the Castle Grant facility which sends water to a number of districts in the parish.

These areas include:

  • Sugar Hill
  • Braggs Hill
  • Airy Hill
  • Lammings
  • Horse Hill
  • Bissex
  • Bernard’s
  • Chimborazo
  • Melvin’s Hill
  • Mellows
  • Lower Parks
  • Upper Parks
  • Spa Hill

and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The Authority apologizes for the loss of the piped-borne supply to these residents but will continue to assist them via water tanker as a temporary measure.    (ENDS)
