Ionics Freshwater Ltd. has advised the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) today Wednesday, October 16, 2024 that the Desalination Plant on the Mighty Grynner Highway is currently offline due to electrical power issues.
This is expected to affect residents in the following areas with low water pressure or a water outage as a result.
Persons may not feel the effects right away but are being advised, in advance, to store some water to assist within their households.
