Ionics Freshwater Limited has advised the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) today Saturday May 31st, 2025, that the Desalination Plant on the Mighty Grynner Highway which was experiencing voltage issues earlier today is back online.
While the facility is now functioning at its maximum capacity, residents in some St. Thomas, St. James, St. Peter and St. Michael areas may have been impacted.
The Authority will assist residents of any affected districts via tanker as a temporary measure if necessary.
The Barbados Water Authority apologizes for any inconvenience this service disruption may have caused. (ENDS)
