The Barbados Water Authority informs residents and businesses in parts of St. Michael and Christ Church that the Pumping Station which supplies them with water has been taken offline today Friday, November 17th to facilitate emergency repairs on a large diameter main.
The affected areas may include St. Michael and Christ Church districts stretching from Codrington junction in St. Michael to Carter’s Gap in Christ Church including all of Bridgetown and Collymore Rock in St. Michael, Vauxhall in Christ Church and the Fort George and Sheraton areas.
Water tankers will be dispatched to assist customers in the affected areas as a temporary measure. However, there maybe delays due the heavy demand.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience this emergency work being conducted today Friday, November 17th may cause. (ENDS)
