Today Monday, December 16th, 2024, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to update residents of the northern districts still being impacted by low pressure or water outages that completion of the repair work on the ruptured main has been delayed.
Crews encountered some challenges last night Sunday, which affected their ability to complete the work. Today the Authority’s Operations and Maintenance and Distribution departments are back on the job to effect the repair.
Two (2) of the Three (3) stations taken offline to facilitate the work are now back online. The last facility, however, still remains offline at this time.
The Authority’s tanker fleet will continue to assist customers in the affected areas in the interim and updates will be provided on the progress of the work.
The BWA apologises for the inconvenience and thanks its valued customers for their understanding and continued patience. (ENDS)
