The Barbados Water Authority advises that a series of power glitches today Thursday, July 13th at two of its facilities in St. Michael has resulted in pumping issues and low reservoir levels.
The reduced amount of water in the reservoir has affected customers in Mapp Hill, Mount Friendship, Lower Burney, St. Barnabas, Haggatt Hall, Howells Cross Road, Wildey, Highgate Gardens, Flagstaff, Clapham, Pine, Collymore Rock, Fort George Heights, Elizabeth Park, Regency Park, Sheraton Park, Sargeant’s Village, Warners Park, Warners Terrace, Briar Hall, Graeme Hall, Rendezvous, Bartletts Tenantry, Forde’s Road, Club Morgan and surrounding areas.
The BWA is currently working to restore the water supply to these districts and water tankers will assist residents in the interim.
The Authority advocates that a measured use of water by persons in these areas who still have a pipe-borne supply, should help in efforts to allow water pressures in the system to return to normal.
The BWA apologizes for the inconvenience caused. (ENDS)
