During the maintenance of the Alleynedale well, water supply to the northern parishes is being supplemented from a temporary source. This is in an effort to reduce the incidences of outages and low pressure.
This interim measure will continue to be used as long as the pumping capacity of this source can be sustained.
During this operation, customers may experience a slight increase in chlorine taste. This is being monitored daily and is well within the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines.
