The Barbados Water Authority wishes to advise residents and businesses in St. Lucy that on Monday, June 20th it will be resuming its swabbing exercise on the 8-inch water main located between Half Acre and Josey Hill, St. Lucy. Swabbing will be conducted during the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

This swabbing exercise forms part of the Authority’s action plan to address the ongoing problem of discoloured water in the St Lucy distribution system.

Residents and businesses located in Durhams, Jemmotts, Rock Hall, Mount View, Glendolough, Josey Hill, Peteres, Mount Gay Village, Church Hill, Alexandria and surrounding areas in St. Lucy may be affected by low pressure or a water outage.

Customers are therefore asked to store an adequate supply of water to assist during the scheduled work. Water tankers will be dispatched to service the affected areas.

The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience this may cause to its valued customers. (End)
