The Barbados Water Authority advises residents and businesses in St. Lucy that its swabbing exercise to address discoloured water issues in the parish will recommence on Wednesday, October
2nd, 2024 and continue until Friday, October 25, 2024.
This swabbing exercise is a continuation of the Authority’s actions to address discoloured water in the distribution system supplying the areas listed below. Work will be conducted on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Crews will swab mains in the following areas and residents and businesses may be affected by discoloured water, chlorine taste, low pressure or a water outage during
these hours.
- Colleton
- Checker Hall
- Shermans
- Clinketts
- Half Moon Fort
- Six Men’s Village
- Sutherland Hill
- Maycocks
- Maycocks Development
- Husbands
- Bourbon
- Content
- Fustic Village
- Harrisons Plantation Road
and surrounding districts.
Residents are asked to store an adequate supply of water to assist. Water tankers will also be dispatched to service the affected areas.
