The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises residents in parts of St. George, St. Thomas, St. Michael and St. James that two of its stations in St. Michael may be affected by reduced flow due to urgent work being conducted at the Ionics Desalination Plant between Monday, September 7th until Thursday, September 10th, 2026.
As a result, customers in Bibby’s Lane, Cane Garden, Jackson Terrace, Edge Hill, Melrose, Arthur Seat, Jackson, Welches Heights, Warrens Terrace, Warrens, Warrens Park South, Clermont, Husbands, Clearview Heights, Husbands, Meadow Vale Heights, Crystal Heights, Prior Park, Redman’s Village, Bagatelle Park, Bagatelle Gardens, Hoytes Village, Arch Hall, Sea View, Halcyon Heights, Sunset Ridge, Flat Rock, Rowans Development, Rowans Park North, Mayfield#1, 34 Walkers Park West, Rowans Park South, Charles Rowe Bridge and surrounding districts may experience low pressure or water outages during this period.
The Authority will make adjustments to its distribution network to reduce the number of areas impacted. Tanker crews will assist persons in any affected districts as a temporary measure.
