The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) informs residents in parts of St. Andrew and St. Joseph that today, Monday, September 1st, 2025, pumping has been temporarily suspended at two of its facilities to allow crews to carry out repairs to a burst main within the distribution system.
As a result, customers in the following areas may experience low pressure or a water outage while the repairs are being conducted.
Bawdens, Cambridge, Chalky Mount, Hopewell, St. Simons, Frank Doughlin Road, Jordans Road, Isolation Road, Cane Garden, Walkers, Seniors, Cleavers Hill, Gaggs Hill, Foster Hall, Joes River, St. Elizabeth New Road, St. Elizabeth Village and surrounding areas.
The Authority will make every effort to assist residents via tanker as a temporary measure. Updates will be provided on the progress of the work.
