The Barbados Water Authority advises residents and businesses in St. Lucy that its swabbing exercise to address discoloured water issues in the parish began on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 and is expected to continue until Friday, October 25, 2024.
This swabbing exercise is a continuation of the Authority’s actions to address discoloured water in the distribution system supplying the areas listed below. Work will be conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Crews will swab mains in the following areas, and residents and businesses may be affected by discoloured water, chlorine taste, low pressure or a water outage during these hours.
Colleton, Checker Hall, Shermans, Clinketts, Half Moon Fort, Fustic Village, Six Men’s Village, Sutherland Hill, Maycocks, Maycocks Development, Content, Harrisons Plantation Road,
Bourbon and surrounding districts.
Residents are reminded to store an adequate supply of water to assist. Water tankers will continue to assist customers in the affected areas.
