The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to inform residents and businesses in

St. Lucy and St. Peter that the Hope Desalination Plant is currently offline due to a technical issue. Repair work will commence once weather conditions improve.

As a result, customers in the following areas may experience low water pressure or outages:

In St. Lucy:
Checker Hall, Shermans, Half Moon Fort, Clinketts, Sutherland Hill, Fustic, Bourbons, Broomefield, Maycocks, Husbands, Friendly Hall, Content, Archers, Crab Hill, Grape Hall, Salmonds, Greenidges, Cluffs, Spring Hall, Bright Hall, Connell Town, North Thumberland, Hope, River Bay, Bishops, Coconut Hall, Spring Garden, Rockfield, Lowlands, St. Clements, Round Rock, Chance Hall, Well Road, Pie Corner, Little Bay, Cove Bay, Fosters, Swampy Town, Trents, Mount Poyer, Harrises, Harrises Tenantry, and surrounding areas.

In St. Peter:
Colleton Gardens, Colleton, Six Men’s Development, Six Men’s Village, and surrounding areas.

Technical issues are also being experienced in the Authority’s Castle Grant system.  Residents in parts of St. Joseph may also experience low water pressure or outages as a result.

Customers are advised to store an adequate supply of water to assist during this period.

The Water Authority’s water tankers will make every effort to assist persons in the affected areas as a temporary measure.
