The Barbados Water Authority wishes to update residents and businesses in parts of St. Michael, St. Thomas and St. James that pumping from the stations which supply them with water resumed early this morning Wednesday, January 25th. However, customers in the affected areas may continue to be impacted by low pressure or water outages until the pressures in the distribution network return to normal.

Emergency repairs on the 12-inch main at St. Stephen’s in St. Michael were partially completed yesterday Tuesday, however, completion of the works will be scheduled for later and the public alerted prior to it being done.

Water tankers will continue to assist customers in the affected areas in the interim.

The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience the service disruption triggered by this emergency work may have caused.    (ENDS)
