Today Thursday, January 16th 2025, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises residents in parts of St. Michael and Christ Church that it has suffered pump failure at one of its facilities overnight which is today affecting residents in the Fort George distribution system.

While immediate service disruptions may not occur, customers in the following areas are advised that low-pressure or water outages may develop during the day and so they are cautioned to store an adequate amount of water to assist.

Affected areas may include:

  • St. Michael: Mapp Hill, Mount Friendship, Lower Burney, St. Barnabas, Pinelands, Highgate Gardens, Flagstaff, Clapham, Wildey, Haggatt Hall, Howells Cross Road and the immediate surrounding areas.

 

  • Christ Church: Fort George Heights, Kent, Elizabeth Park, Regency Park, Sheraton Park, Sargeant’s Village, Warners Park, Warners Terrace, Briar Hall, Graeme Hall, Rendezvous, Bartlett’s Tenantry, Club Morgan and the immediate surrounding areas.

 

The BWA will make every effort to assist residents via water tanker where necessary and will provide updates on the situation.
