The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is reminding persons to get prepared and stay alert during this Hurricane Season. Remember to keep an ear for updates shared by the Barbados Meteorological Services.
Before the passage of a storm we are reminding all of the importance of storing appropriate amounts of potable water for your individual household needs during and after the passage of any system. This should include water for yourself, your family and your pets.
The recommended amount is five (5) gallons per person per day for at least five (5) days. Water must be stored in clean, covered containers away from direct sunlight.
Should you need to contact the BWA to report an urgent water related issue after a storm has passed and the All Clear has been given, please call 434-4292.
The Authority urges all to be prepared and stay safe.
