The Barbados Water Authority advises that work to upgrade the infrastructure at the Belle Pumping Station recommences on Monday, August 14th, 2023.
The work is scheduled to be conducted between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. over the next few weeks.
The station will only be taken offline for short periods of time; hence customers supplied by this facility are not expected to be impacted.
Should there be an issue with an outage as a result of the work, water tankers will be dispatched to assist customers as a temporary measure.
The Authority reminds the public that we are still in the Hurricane Season and strongly recommends that customers continue to store some water. The recommended amount is five (5) gallons per person per day.
