Today Wednesday, June 28th, the Barbados Water Authority wishes to advise residents in parts of St. John and St. George that to prevent discoloured water from entering the distribution network, it has temporarily stopped pumping from one of its wells at a St. John Station.

As a result, customers in the following areas may be affected by water outages or low pressure:

In St John: Bath Land, Carters, Cherry Grove, Cheshire, Cliff Cottage, Coach Hill, Codrington, Gall Hill, Glebe, Guinea, Lemon Arbor, Massiah Street, Pool Land, Sargeant Street, Sherbourne, Henley, Rose Gate, Moores Land, Haynes Hill,  Stewart Hill, Society Hill, Small Hope, Spooners, Wakefield Tenantry, Welch Village and surrounding areas.

In St George: Macaroni Village, Ashbury, and surrounding districts.

Water tankers have been dispatched to assist customers in the affected areas.
