The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) are advising residents and businesses in the Belle, St. Michael and its environs that enumerators will be conducting daily surveys from November 27 to December 20, 2025, as part of the 3R-CReWS Project — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle for Climate-Resilient Wastewater Systems in Barbados.
This project is being executed by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) in collaboration with the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) and is funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The CCCCC contracted TEKNIK STRUKTUR CONSULTANTS (TSC), to conduct the Occupancy Survey.
The occupancy survey will help ensure we capture an accurate picture of everyone living in or using the area. It will be used to identify and accurately map all existing man-made and natural features within the proposed pipeline corridor to avoid conflicts and minimise disruption. The survey results will inform other project activities, including communications planning and the implementation of the Gender Action Plan.
The enumerators will administer door-to-door surveys to residents and businesses in the vicinity of the Belle Pumping Station in St. Michael. They will carry photo ID and a Letter of Authority.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and limited to individuals 18 years of age or older. All information collected will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for the Occupancy Survey to inform project planning.
The BWA and the CCCCC kindly request that the public extend their cooperation and courtesy to the enumerators as they carry out this assignment.
For questions, concerns, or to verify the identity of an enumerator, please contact:
info.3RCReWS@caribbeanclimate.org or projectoffice@bwa.gov.bb .
The CCCCC, in collaboration with the BWA, would like to thank all residents and businesses for their cooperation as we work together to build a more water-secure and climate-resilient Barbados.
