The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to inform residents in parts of St. George, St. Michael, and Christ Church that intermittent water outages and low pressure are affecting certain areas due to an electrical issue at one of our pumping stations. Our technical team is actively investigating and working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Affected Areas:
St. George:
Turnpike, Carmichael, Constant, Dash Valley, Buttals, Buckley, Watts Village, Lower Greys, Ellerton, and surrounding districts.
Christ Church:
Sargeant’s Village, Bartlett’s Tenantry, Frere Pilgrim, Edeys Village, St. David’s, and surrounding areas.
St. Michael:
Upton, Fort George, Wildey, Clapham, and surrounding districts.
As a temporary measure, BWA water tankers have been dispatched to assist customers in the affected areas. We encourage households to store sufficient water for essential use until normal service resumes.
The Barbados Water Authority apologizes for any inconvenience this service interruption may cause. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue promptly. (ENDS)
