The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) informs residents in St. Lucy that it will installing a new 10-inch main in the Mount Poyer area between Wednesday, April 16th and Friday, August 29th, 2025.
Excavation work is scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 16th and will be conducted Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
During these hours, Mount Poyer Road will be impassable due to the operation of heavy equipment in the area. As a result, the road will be blocked off from its junction with Hannays Road, heading north along Mount Poyer to Greenidges in St. Lucy (See route below). All efforts will be made to provide access to the farmers working nearby.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience this work in Mount Poyer, St. Lucy between Wednesday, April 16th and Saturday, August 29th, 2025 may cause. (ENDS)
