Today, Saturday, March 12th, the Barbados Water Authority is experiencing low levels at a facility in the north which has caused the connected Pumping Station to go offline.

As a result, customers in some St. Lucy districts may experience low pressure or water outages until reservoir levels improve. These include Durhams, Jemmotts, Rock Hall, Mount View, Glendalough Road, Peterses, Josey Hill, Mount Gay, Church Hill Road, Cave Hill, Harmony, Date Tree Hill and surrounding areas.

The Authority’s crew are today carrying out investigations at a station in St. Peter which has also gone offline. This stoppage may affect residents of Ashton Hall, Douglas Development, Alleynedale Road, Bakers, Coral Cliff, Maynard’s Development, Maynard’s Housing Area, Mile & a Quarter, Mount Brevitor, Mullins, Rose Hill, Benn Hill, The Rock, The Whim, Black Bess and the surrounding districts.

The BWA will make every effort to assist residents in the affected areas via tanker while the issues persist.

The BWA apologizes for the inconvenience these service disruptions may cause.    (ENDS)
