The Barbados Water Authority informs residents and businesses in Wanstead, Oxnards, Thorpes and surrounding districts in of St. James that the Pumping Station which supplies them with water will be taken offline today Thursday, September 8th between 8:30 am and 12 noon to facilitate emergency work.
Customers in these areas may be affected by low pressure or water outages as a result.
We strongly recommend that customers in these districts who still have a pipe-borne supply, store water to assist during the period of work.
Water tankers will be dispatched to assist customers in affected areas as a temporary measure.
