The Barbados Water Authority informs residents and businesses in parts of St. Michael, St. Thomas and St. James that the Pumping Station which supplies them with water will be taken offline today Tuesday, January 24th to facilitate emergency repairs on a 12-inch main at St. Stephen’s in St. Michael.

Customers in the following areas may be affected by low pressure or water outages as a result.

Free Hill, Stanmore Crescent, Wanstead, Husbands Heights, West Terrace, Oxnards, Husbands Development, Husbands Gardens, Ricks Land, Halls Village, Oxnards Crescent, Haynesville, Durants Village, Thorpes, ,Bibby’s Lane, Cane Garden, Jackson Terrace, Edge Hill, Melrose, Arthur Seat, Jackson, Welches Heights, Warrens Terrace, Warrens, Clermont, Clerview Heights, Husbands, Meadow Vale Heights, Crystal Heights, Prior Park, Redmans Village, Bagatelle Park, Bagatelle Gardens, Hoytes Village, Arch Hall, Seaview, Halcyon Heights, Sunset Ridge and surrounding districts.

We strongly recommend that customers in these districts who still have a pipe-borne supply, store water to assist during the period of work.

Water tankers will be dispatched to assist customers in the affected areas as a temporary measure.
