The Barbados Water Authority informs residents and businesses in parts of St. Michael that the Pumping Station which supplies them with water has been taken offline today Wednesday, January 18th to facilitate emergency repairs on a 12-inch main at the junction of St. Stephens Hill and Grazettes Terrace in St. Michael.

Customers in the following areas may be affected by low pressure or water outages as a result.

Free Hill, Cave Hill, Waterford, Codrington, Spooner’s Hill, Bush Hall, Tudor Bridge, Grazettes, Fairfield and surrounding districts.

We strongly recommend that customers in these districts who still have a pipe-borne supply, store water to assist during the period of work.

Water tankers will be dispatched to assist customers in the affected areas as a temporary measure.

The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience the service disruption caused by this emergency work today January 18th 2023 may cause.    (ENDS)
