The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is today, Thursday, October 2nd, advising residents and businesses in parts of St. Philip that it has sustained a burst on a large-diameter main at Harrismith.
As a result, customers in Harrismith, Castle Heights, Sam Lord’s Castle, Long Bay, Bayley’s Primary School, Merricks, Wellhouse, Eastbourne, Ruby, Belair, Union Hall and surrounding areas may experience low water pressure or a water outage during this time.
Persons are advised to store some water, if possible, to assist while repairs are being conducted.
Water tankers will also be dispatched to assist residents and businesses in the affected districts as a temporary measure.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience this service disruption may cause. (ENDS)
