Today Friday, February 17th, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is conducting emergency repairs on a 10-inch main at Warleigh in St. Peter.
As a result, the facilities supplying water to customers in the following areas will be offline to allow crews to effect repairs.
The Rock, White Hall, Mount Brevitor, Black Bess, Mangrove, Taitts, Upper Bakers, Rock Dundo, Sion Hill, Four Hills, French Village, Vuemont, Welch Town, Benny Hall, Portland, Pleasant Hall, Diamond Corner, Moore Hill, Nicholas Abbey, Castle, Gays, Boscobelle, The Mount and surrounding districts in St. Peter.
Upper Carlton, Westmoreland, St. Silas Heights, Waterhall Terrace and surrounding areas in St. James.
Rock Hall, Sedge Pond, Indian Ground, Farley Hill, Cleland Hill and surrounding districts in St. Andrew.
Chance Hall, Spring Garden, Round Rock and surrounding districts in St. Lucy.
Residents of these districts are asked to store an adequate supply of water as they may be impacted by low pressure or a water outage while repairs are being conducted.
BWA tanker crews will also assist persons in the affected areas as a temporary measure.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience this service disruption in some St. Peter, St. James, St. Andrew and St. Lucy areas on Friday, February 17th may cause. (ENDS)
