The Barbados Water Authority advises residents and businesses in parts of St. Joseph and St. Andrew that emergency mains replacement is currently being conducted along the Cattlewash section of the Ermie Bourne Highway.
The work is scheduled to be conducted between Wednesday, April 30th and Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 and teams will be working round the clock, in shifts, to complete the job in the shortest time possible.
As a result, customers in Cattlewash, Dark Hole, Bruce Vale, Shorey Village, Baxters, Cane Garden, Walkers, Morgan Lewis, Chalky Mount, Cambridge, Belleplaine, Isolation Road, Bawdens Hill, St. Simons and the surrounding areas may experience low pressure or a water outage during this period. Water tankers will be deployed to assist.
The travelling public is asked to be cautious when traversing the area & and persons are encouraged to consider use an alternate route if possible. Residents may experience some noise and dust as a result of the trenching activities.
