Overview
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the vacant position of Site Foreman for the Sewering Districts Project. The project involves installing sewer and potable water mains in three districts. The estimated duration of the project is 18 months.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Site Foreman reports to the construction manager and is responsible for overseeing the daily on-site activities related to pipeline installation. The Site Foreman shall supervise work crews and daily operations, including work schedules, material deliveries, and equipment usage. The Foreman will coordinate with subcontractors, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and ensure a high standard of workmanship. Additionally, the Foreman will be responsible for managing all health and safety requirements.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
Prospective candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications and experience requirements:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience working on major infrastructure projects.
- At least 7 years’ experience in construction supervision
Prospective candidates must also possess the following knowledge and skills:
- Strong understanding of sanitary sewer installation methods, including trenching, bedding, pipe laying, and manhole construction.
- Effective decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- The ability to build relationships and work with teams of people.
