Public Consultation for the ESMP/ESIA of the SCWRP

BWA Invites the Public to Review the South Coast Water Reclamation Project’s ESMP and ESIA Documents and attend a Virtual Consultation on October 8th, 2026.

Following the recent Town Hall, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is reminding members of the public that the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) documents remain available for review.

Community members and stakeholders are invited to attend a virtual public consultation on October 8, 2026. The one-hour consultation will provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions, raise concerns and provide comments and feedback.

Persons are encouraged to first scan the QR code below to access the ESMP and ESIA documents. Due to the large size of the digital documents, they have been consolidated into one PDF for easier access. After accessing the PDF, persons are encouraged to review the documents before participating in the consultation.

Participants may join the consultation using the registration link that will be shared through BWA’s communication channels. The consultation is important because it gives community members and stakeholders an additional opportunity to review the environmental and social measures proposed for the project, ask questions, identify concerns and provide feedback for consideration as the project moves forward.

BWA encourages broad public participation so that community views can be heard as part of the consultation process.
