The South Coast Water Reclamation Project (SCWRP) has established a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) to ensure that anyone affected by, or involved in, the project can raise questions, concerns or complaints and receive a timely, fair and confidential response. The GRM is open to community members, workers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders, and covers all aspects of project planning, construction and operation, including engineering, environmental, social, gender-related and health and safety issues. It provides clear, accessible channels for submitting feedback, supports respectful and transparent dialogue, and helps the Barbados Water Authority and the Project Executing Unit (PEU) identify and address emerging risks. Sensitive matters, including labour issues and any allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment or gender-based violence, are handled through dedicated survivor-centred procedures with strict confidentiality safeguards.
