The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises the public that it will conduct a pump change-out at its St. John facility today, Monday, September 7th, 2026, between 1 pm and 6:00 p.m.

The station will remain offline while the work is being carried out. As a result, customers in the following areas may experience water outages or low water pressure:

St. George – Ridge Meadows, Sweet Bottom, Ashbury, Thorpes Cottage, Superlative, Bydes Mill, St. Judes, Glen Acres, Greens, Prerogative, Brighton, Drax Hall Hope, Glebe, The Mount, Fairview, Baird’s Village, The Farm, Upper Brighton, Drax Hall, Free Hill, Ellerton, Walkers Close, Workmans, Redland, Redland Plantation and surrounding areas.

St. John – Gall Hill, Coach Hill, Rosegate, Massiah Street, Four Roads, Clifton Hall, Pool, Church View and surrounding areas.

St. Philip – Breezy Hill, Church Village, Cottage Vale, Mount Pleasant Gardens, Moncrieffe and surrounding areas.

Following completion of the pump change-out, it may take some time for normal water distribution to resume throughout the affected areas.

Water tanker assistance will be provided to customers in the affected areas, where possible. However, service may be delayed due to high demand.
