The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises the public that its St. John station is currently offline due to a power outage affecting the facility.
As a result, customers in the following areas may experience water outages or low water pressure:
St. George – Ridge Meadows, Sweet Bottom, Ashbury, Thorpes Cottage, Superlative, Bydes Mill, St. Judes, Glen Acres, Greens, Prerogative, Brighton, Drax Hall, Drax Hall Hope, Glebe, The Mount, Fairview, Baird’s Village, The Farm, Upper Brighton, Free Hill, Ellerton, Walkers Close, Workmans, Redland, Redland Plantation and surrounding areas.
St. John – Gall Hill, Coach Hill, Rosegate, Massiah Street, Four Roads, Clifton Hall, Pool, Church View and surrounding areas.
St. Philip – Breezy Hill, Church Village, Cottage Vale, Mount Pleasant Gardens, Moncrieffe and surrounding areas.
The cause of the power outage is being investigated. The Authority will provide further updates as information becomes available. Water tanker assistance will be provided to customers in the affected areas, where possible.
