The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises customers in sections of St. Andrew, St. Thomas, St. Joseph and St. John that emergency repairs are being conducted today, Saturday, August 22, 2026, on a large-diameter main located in Golden Ridge Village, St. George.
Crews have been mobilised to carry out the repairs. As a result, customers in the following districts may continue to experience water outages or low pressure:
St. Andrew:
Turner’s Hall, Gregg Farm, Apes Hill, Church Gap, Hillaby, White Hill, Bruce Vale and surrounding areas.
St. Thomas:
Melrose, Christie Village, Bridgefield, Hillaby, Farmers, Grandview, Airy Cot, Upper Canefield, Cane Garden, Friendship, Dunscombe, Spring Farm, Porey Spring, Content Tenantry, Chapman Village, Bloomsbury, Carrington Village, Lower Canefield, Sturges, Welchman Hall, Highland, Lion Castle, Endeavour, Clifton Hill, Walkes Spring, Clifton Tenantry, Strong Hope and surrounding districts.
St. Joseph:
Bonwell Road, Baxters, Horse Hill, Vaughns Land, Cadogan Road, Dark Hole, Coconut Grove, Bissex, Mellows, Parks, Melvin’s Hill, Fruitful Hill, Spa Hill, St. Bernard’s Village, Chimborazo, Sugar Hill, Braggs Hill, Lammings, Airy Hill and surrounding areas.
St. John:
Malvern, Venture and surrounding areas.
The Authority will make every effort to assist affected customers via tanker service while the repairs are underway.
