The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) will be commissioning a storage tank at one of its Pumping Stations in St. James over the coming week.
To complete this process in the shortest possible time and minimize customer disruption, sections of the distribution network between Lancaster and Apes Hill will be isolated nightly to facilitate the commissioning.
As a result, there will be a shutdown of this section of the system between 9:00 pm and 5:00 am each night from Friday July 24th to Friday, July 31st, 2026.
Customers in Apes Hill, Orange Hill, Endeavour #s 1, 2 & 3, Baywoods and surrounding areas may experience interruptions to their water supply or reduced water pressure during these periods and are asked to store an adequate supply of water to assist themselves during these times.
