The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to update customers in St. Lucy that crews have been forced to continue work today Sunday, June 28th, 2026 on the connection which was started at Half Acre yesterday. This is as a result of the inclement weather experienced during the afternoon and evening yesterday Saturday.
As a result, residents of Greenidges, Connell Town, Northumberland, Hope Road, River Bay, Chance Hall, Bishops, Spring Garden, Spring Hall, Harrises, Friendship, Content, Alvis Town, Salmond, Grape Hall, Coles Cave, Stroud Bay, Crab Hill, Archers, Trents, Benthams, Babbs, Maycocks, Maycocks Terrace, Harrison’s Point, Husbands, Broomefield, Checker Hall, Sutherland Hill, Fustic Village, Fryer’s Well Road, Half Moon Fort, Clinketts, Colleton, Sherman’s, Six Men’s, Rockfield, Pie Corner, Little Bay and surrounding areas may be impacted by low pressure or water outages while the work is ongoing.
Water Tankers have been dispatched to assist customers as a temporary measure.
